My go-to in Logrono

I stayed here for the third time.
It is well run with good facilities.
A few minutes walk from the centre of Logrono, which means a quieter nights sleep.

Dirty

Not a fan of this place. There were flies circling between bunks, the wall that my bunk was up against was filthy, and there was mould on all the flimsy shower curtains. The bathroom was coed with only 2 stalls and no private place to change after taking a shower. There are also no hand washing tubs for clothes which made it challenging to wash. The fountain was also turned off in the courtyard- not a big deal.

Very crowded spaces

Please had a funny smell. Your bed and shower may be on different floors. The kitchen is not well stocked. Wi-Fi does not work in rooms. 4 euros for washer and dryer. Close to everything. The city is very historic.

Great Albergue

I was concerned by the earlier reviews because the one thing I can’t do is bed bugs but the mattresses and pillows are all that plastic kind and they used those disposable sheets so there was no issues there. The kitchen was fully equipped so you could cook a meal on the stove top. There were separate bathrooms for men and women. The shower curtains on the women’s bathrooms were not completely private and the door to outside is opened from time to time because the toilets are in the same area but I was able to shower in one of the two which are tucked out of site of the main door. The location was excellent and there were plenty of PowerPoints in the rooms.

Third stay

I don't understand the complaints.
I stayed here for the third time in August.
The place is comfortable with good facilities.
Very close to the city centre.

Nice albergue

Nice albergue. Crowded rooms. The only complaint i had was : hospitalero doesn't seem to remember which room/bed he assigned, no idea how much is the back transfer. But he's a nice fella

Tightly packed

Great location. Beautiful courtyard and kitchen space. The sleeping room must have held 60 people and the aisles are so narrow it’s impossible for everyone to maneuver at once. With sixty people asleep in this one room, it grew hot in mid-May it felt like a sauna. Also the upper bunks are surprisingly low which makes the lower bunk horrible. Highlight of Logrono is walking up to Bar Angel and surrounding pinchos bars for a tapas bar crawl.

Necessities LACKING

Good location, staff are volunteers who cannot keep up with flow of pilgrims. Check-in was LONG. Toilet paper ran out QUICKLY and was not replaced. Stall doors did not lock. Too many fix-it’s to list. Room very stuffy. Not a memorable experience on the Camino.

Wait in boiling hot courtyard

Nice courtyard, bur then queued to enter, one by one, took a long time in midday heat and assistant refused to extend the sunshade, asking the pilgrim who requested it to leave!

Great albergue

Beds are appropriately spaced. A touch hot but lots of windows.

Beds are super tightly packed

Beds are super tightly packed with no space to maneuver in between. My bed smelled strongly of sweat. This place tops my list of places I would never stay again. One bright side was the circle of singing nuns next door that could be watched from the terrace.

Good location but place a bit

Good location but place a bit tired and old. Also only place where I suffered from bed bugs

This albergue is convenient

This albergue is convenient but the bunk beds are so close together and there is no A/C so the sleeping rooms are hot and smelly. Would recommend paying a few more euros for a nicer place.
