I arrived on Sunday without a booking and they told me it is closed. Pretty sure it will be opening you book two days in advance (I tried to book the day before and that was not possible on the website. No response to whatsapp messages)

We got a double room for 48 euros. Not the cheapest but oerfectly acceptable particulatly when the welcome from the lady behind the bar us warm and helpful. We gad a 3 course meal with wine for 11 euros each which was value for money. I see that the wine standard has been criticised in earlier posts but the menu clearly states (in Spanish) that the wine is homemade. That was good enough for me.

We stayed on night in the Hostal and one night in the albergue to have a rest day and see the Saturday market. Every pilgrim we knew was charged a different price, so you may be able to negotiate a bit.
In the albergue we were able to have a nice communal dinner with rotisserie chicken and salad bought at the Saturday market. The owner of the hostal was very helpful in loaning us a few things extra that we needed to make it work. We did that because the meals in the Comedor were only so so and both the red and white wines were very poor.

Clean & comfortable in central location. €20 for a bed and 3 course meal in the restaurant which could be taken as lunch or dinner.

I really liked this albergue. Clean, very friendly staff, the daughter speaks English which was nice for a change. Bed and dinner together is €16 including 3 courses and wine. This is the first albergue that is also for disabled people. Very spacious bathrooms and brand new. Airconditioning and wifi in the albergue.

Hostel beds can be obtained at hostel Roble building is next door to bar- beds 9 euro single room with bathroom 20 Euro menu del dia served at 8.30pm 5euro very disapointing
