Really beautiful and cozy place – a steep hike to get there but absolutely worth it. Nice rooms and surroundings. Remember to bring cash.
They have good ready-made meals in the freezer if you don't feel like pizza/takeaway or you're too tired to walk a bit down the hill to the nearest restaurant

I really enjoyed my stay here.
Max is really nice, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly.

There is a huge garden with a small pool, cozy lounges and towel and bedsheets included.
Remember to bring cash, both for the Albergue and if you would like to order take-away from the local restaurant.

A stay here is highly recommended!

We had a private room here and it was better than many hotels. The hostel is big but spread out with several outside and indoor places to sit. It felt very peaceful .We and lots of others took up the offer of ordering food from the one restaurant in the village, which was brought over. It was good!

Wonderful Albergue! Towels supplied!! No restaurants in the area! Best Albergue so far! Wonderful showers! Soap supplied!!

Such an amazing place. Clean, great showers, a little pool with cool water to soak your feet. Living rooms and kitchens were great. Highly recommend. Plan your route to be able to stay here!

This albergue is a very calm and relaxing pilgrim hostel. The beds are comfortable and there are several places to relax on the property. Does have a pool but I didn’t get it, but looked cute. Each room has 5-6 bunk beds but well spaced out. However my room only had 2 showers with stone walls that were somewhat clean. The kitchen however is super clean cute has homemade pastured u can purchase. Very cool rustic feel to the property.

This is my fourth Camino, I’ve stayed in many wonderful albergues. Sardão is without question the most beautiful and comfortable. This was and is a sprawling family farmhouse with sheep and horses pinned behind a lovely garden. The home is of stone with lovely eclectic furniture, extremely well, equipped, common rooms, and kitchens, and tons of personal memorabilia that make it feel like a real home – which it still is. Hugo and his colleagues are very gracious and helpful. And restaurant Sergio nearby is excellent.

This was one of the most charming Albergues I had experienced on the Camino. Set in an 18th century Monastery, the place oozes character. Beds are beautifully comfortable & clean and towel also provided.
Gorgeous communal areas, both indoors and outdoors.
Alex and his team represent the kind and friendly hospitality that is welcomed by tired pilgrims at the end of a long day!
Only regret, didn't stay here long enough.
Highly recommend staying at this albergue.

Hugo has an amazing albergue, we had a private room and it was clean, warm and comfortable.
Definitely recommed

There are four of us seniors and I booked a room with 4 beds. We were so happy not to have to climb up any bunk beds when shown the room. Hugo was super responsive to my enquiries and reconfirmation. Alex was attentive and answered all our questions. The restaurant "Sergio" he suggested when asked provided huge portions of good food, enough for two meals. I highly recommend this place to stay. Hostel price for hotel comfort. The only suggestion is improving clothes washing and drying area.

Comfort on the Camino is what this place is all about. Hugo got back to me while he was driving and then secured my reservation as soon as he was able. At check in Alex made us feel at home and gave us all kinds of information to help us enjoy the rest of our journey. So many places to chill and relax. This was my favourite of all hostels. The whole place is amazing. It is an old monastery and then later farm owned by Hugo and his family. The rooms are stunning and pristine. It has everything you would need and more. Hugo is the most fabulous attentive caring host. Food can be ordered from a local restaurant and delivered. There is a lovely cool pool to replenish your feet. Wo many indoor and outdoor break out areas. Beautiful white horses. The best sunset. I felt so calm and settled immediately, I really didn’t want to leave. It was so quiet, peaceful and dark at night, everyone had a great night sleep and there was unbelievably no snoring everyone must have been so relaxed!!

Hugo has created a truly wonderful place. It has everything you need or might need plus just a variety of “nice to have” things. The place has two kitchens, pool to soak your feet, lots of space indoors and outdoors, comfy beds etc. it is also possible to order some super nice food from the restaurant close by. And did I mention two white horses galloping in the sunset in the yard?

Hosts Hugo and Alex are awesome and helpful and very friendly both speak English the Albert gay is 151-year-old monastery that's been turned into a family home and farm and an albergue, it is awesome. The Wi-Fi works great just don't move around too much because the stone walls block it in some areas. Facilities are clean and a fully equipped kitchen is there.

Definitely the most beautiful albergue of the whole camino, highly recommended!
