This is one of the best places I’ve stayed on the Camino Francés. It’s a gorgeously restored and renovated water mill. Mercedes is a fabulous hostess who took care of me from the moment I arrived. She’s also a wonderful cook and served a great dinner which everyone one enjoyed. I highly recommend staying here.

This is a great little hotel to stay in. Gorgeous rooms! Some rooms even have a bathtub. Mercedes, the host, was very kind, but she may sell before next season, so keep that in mind. Also, be aware, the rate I paid as a single person, was different from the website . I think it is because I got placed in a double room.

I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon this hidden gem, during my journey. It's hard to believe that I almost missed out on such a tranquil haven. The House, an old mill, exudes a charming ambiance with its real fireplace and the soothing sound of water flowing nearby, creating a delightful atmosphere, especially at night. In hindsight, I regret not choosing to stay here instead of opting for a second rest night in Leon.

The owners of the House, along with their daughter Kristina, truly embody the essence of exceptional hospitality. Their warm and attentive nature made my stay all the more memorable. They went above and beyond to ensure that every need was met, making me feel welcomed and cared for throughout my time there.

Don’t hesitate to book.

This charming Casa Rural is just delightful! The owners spent many years renovating it with love, and it shows. So many special little touches here and there. It is clean and comfortable, quaint and cozy. But it was the hostess, Mercedes, who really made this a wonderful experience for us. The moment we arrived she showered us with love and sweet kindness. She was simply bubbling with joy! The communal dinner was very special, with a delicious homemade meal, served by Mercedes, her husband, and their daughter. We actually altered our original plans in order to be able to stay here, after reading all the glowing reviews. And we recommend you do the same. This is truly a hidden gem. Absolutely the best place I have stayed in since SJPdP.
The hostess (Mercedes) is so sweet. Dinner and breakfast were included so do not worry about it being so far from restaurants.
I slept so well that I did not want to leave!!

What a lovely place. What lovely people. I felt like a long lost relative come home with how welcomed I was the minute I walked in the door. If you have the chance, stay here. Peaceful, unique and comfortable.

Fantastic service, friendly and welcoming the ambience of the house is divine. By far one of my favourite.

Great food. Dinner and breakfast were accompanied by a fire in the fireplace. Beds were so comfortable. The inn keepers were so gracious and accommodating. It was my favorite stop so far since starting St Jean.

I arrived here today very hot and tired. I was sat down and brought a drink and made to feel at home and welcome from the moment I stepped in the door. I have stayed at some very nice accommodations on my Camino so far but this has by far been the place where I felt completely taken care of and able to rest. I can’t say enough about how lovely it is. Very grateful.

Everything about this place was perfect! It is an old mill right on the creek, beautiful setting to relax. It was very comfortable, great shower, and a very fresh, delicious, filling meal. The host, Mercedes, is a gem.

As others have said, Doña Mercedes is a wonderful human being. She made all of us feel welcome and comfortable. The place itself is rustic and beautiful. Nice hot shower. Hurry up and visit before they sell the place (which Mercedes plans to do soon).

Mercedes is a wonderful hostess and cook. On arrival from our long walk from León she has us sit down have a drink before going to our room. The food was garden fresh and delicious! Mercedes also did our laundry. The place is relaxing snd highly recommended.

Our stay at Molino Galochas was wonderful. Mercedes was the most cheerful, welcoming and friendly host. The food was lovely, and the house itself is a lovely space. Very comfortable stay.

Excellent hosts, beautiful and peaceful house. Food was great. I contacted host saying my wife’s knee was hurt and we would be late arriving. The host drove out to meet us and offered a ride in! Can’t recommend a stay here enough

Adorable guest house set over a stream. The host couple were lovely, and dinner was excellent. Truly a highpoint of my Camino. Highly recommend.

Possibly the most tranquil, beautiful place we’ve stayed in. The hosts are lovely: they laid on both lunch and dinner with their home grown vegetables, did laundry for us and were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
