This bed and breakfast had a lovely terrace overlooking Valcarlos valley. It made a perfect stop for the first night on the Camino. The room came with a “ticket” for dinner and breakfast at the supermarket restaurant a couple blocks up the street. Despite the supermarket name, the restaurant was excellent!

We stopped here to break up the trip over the Pyrenees. The hotel is a bit older but well kept. Appreciated having the restaurant on site (though not as good as Benta).

We booked what we had thought was a simple room for the advertised 50 euro on their website via WhatsApp. We arrived and we’re shown to the (albeit gorgeous) study/studio, which she announced was 70 euro. On a fairly tight budget this was a big change for us, and while we appreciated that we now surprisingly had a kitchen, it felt a bit awkward to negotiate this change on our first night. During the shoulder season there is little choice.
Aside from that, it is a stunning building, was very clean and the owners were friendly.

Wonderful place to stay for our first night on the Camino. Very charming and comfortable. Amazing views from the porch. The owner was very helpful. Highly recommend.
