Camino Francés app

Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino Francés app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

Modern/Clean/Fresh Scents 5 stars

This is an extremely clean, bright and very up to date Albergue. It looks brand new but is said to be over 10 years old. It’s been renovated from a past truck stop. You would never know..
The kitchen has everything needed to cook but does not appear to many people have cooked so there are not alotof condiments left from

Clean, rather clinical albergue, but with a super big balcony

The best thing about this albergue was the gigantic balcony where we sat and drank wine from the local supermarket as the sun went down. Everything else was just fine, clean and in good order. The kitchen/common room was rather gloomy, but hey, you can’t have everything. There was plenty of equipment and room to sit and eat.

Wasn’t allowed to see accommodation

Lady behind reception desk saw me approaching on my bicycle and came out to ask if she could be of any help. She spoke broken English and was keen to show me where I could store my bike, however she was unwilling to show me the accommodation or give me an explanation as to why. Instead she kept pointing to the photograph on the outside notice.
All this made me rather suspicious so I thanked her but moved on.

It was fine, but A Balsa looks much nicer

I stayed here and it was fine. Lovely staff, clean, but absolutely no personality and the food options in town were just okay. I'm bummed walking this morning through A Balsa, just 1km or so on from Tricastela, to have come across an incredibly well reviewed family run albergue. They serve a vegan communal meal! If this is the kind of Camino you're after I think the tiny extra walk would be well worth it.

Beat sleep

I had a fabulous private room with two single beds, proper sheets and private bath. Everything was super clean and comfortable. There are laundry facilities and a communal living room with a leg massager 😱
Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Previous comment seems untrue this place is lovely

There was a comment posted here that someone had an experience with bedbugs. I think that was either along time ago or that was a malicious comment. The mattresses and the pillows are the usual plastic covered and you get a disposable sheet. Everything was super clean when I came but I feel bad that that previous comment seems to be hurting business. It works in my favor there are only three of us in a 12 person bunk room tonight. There’s a nice balcony, good windows for lots of ventilation and the albergue seems quiet. There are new lockers with locks and you can use the washer and dryer.
