Very nice place- Run by a young German couple , Dominic and Jolina
we came to San Martin and hoping to stay at La Huella Albergue but they are fully booked @ 12:30, my friend send her extra backpack there but they do not have a place for us so we decided to walk all the way to Hospital de Orbigo, I don’t want her to walk with two backpacks one on front and one on back, so i look at La Casa Verde and we decided to check it out, Man it was a relief to know we have a place to stay! Very nuce young woman welcomed us in English! got us ready , gave us something to drink before fhecking us in.
That is a very warm welcome! Kudos to this young couple. Kitchen, bathrooms are swesome and a store nearby, cage nearby, there is an offer of packed breakfast to go, Yeey!!!!

Basic albergue with kitchen available. Charming young couple running it. Shop and restaurant available nearby. Lovely.

Joe the host is so helpful and kind. Clean kitchen and lovely garden and laundry sink. Restaurant in town and a small mercado. Definitely recommend.

La Casa Verde is beautiful, a fantastic, quiet place to stay. An 8 bed room for 12 Euros and one double room for 30 Euros. The kitchen has everything for cooking and behind the house is a beautiful garden. Everything was very clean. The hospitalero Joe is a very nice and helpful person. Highly recommended for pilgrims who like a personal atmosphere.

Twin room was located right next to kitchen where noise from kitchen could be disruptive. Room was reasonably spacious and very cool. Kitchen has reasonable facilities. Shower and toilet shared with the rest of Albergue - 2 showers for men; 2 for women in very small area. Huge back yard with reasonable shade. This Albergue accommodates the budget conscious traveller without much fan-fare. Is also close to supermarket and restaurant. RuffLex

Stayed here as the hostal we were booked into did not let you leave before 6.30am as we wanted to beat heat that did not suit us. 8 bed room. Nice backyard did not eat there. Clean

La Casa Verde is a great place to stay. Clean and comfortable. Small - only 10 beds, 2 + 8 - and the most friendly, cheerful and attentive hospitalera I've encountered who gave us a beautiful home cooked meal. Beatrice is a gem and speaks English fluently. And it's away from the main road so very quiet. Very highly recommended.
