Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino Francés app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

Albergue Las Herrerias

Nice hostel; very rustic. We had a double room for a total of 34€. The room is located behind the bunk bed room, which means you always have to pass through it. Additionally, we found it really cold without blankets, so we woke up several times during the night. Also, one of the single beds squeaked. Overall, however, good value for money and a nice owner.

Nice albergue

Private room for 34 euro. No wifi. Not many pilgrims. Great hostess.

Nice albergue but dinner was overpriced

Loved the dorm and the garden of the albergue. Rustic and beautiful! Be aware there are some stinging nettles in the handwashing and laundry drying area. I booked in for dinner thinking there were no other options in town, but it turns out there are several restaurants. I thought €15 for a salad (nice), pasta with pesto (okay) and watermelon juice (okay) was a bit much. I would have preferred to eat in one of the other restaurants in town.

A really welcomkng and comfortable place to stay

We were met by Connor who couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The building is beautiful - very old with plenty of space. We had a double room just off the dorm. A very friendly group meal that evening. I would definitely stay there again.

Price is wrong for private room

This app says €15 but it’s actually €50

Dorm is €10 + whatever donation you’d like to pay on top.

Please update.

Gorgeous but note…

No blankets provided - which is not a problem, just be prepared. It was only slightly cool and I wore a long sleeve shirt and my hiking pants.

The bathroom had loads of hooks!! Why can’t every place do this!

Loved my stay here x

Stunning location and gorgeous albergue

I highly recommend staying here. Very authentic and rustic. The beds are upstairs with one power plug beside your bed, and bathrooms are downstairs. My dinner was excellent and included appetiser of hummus and olives as well as delicious soup, pesto pasta, bread, wine and an insane strawberry mousse slice dessert to die for. I opted for breakfast the following morning to ensure a full tummy before the steep ascent to O Cebreiro. Oats, fruit, bread, butter, bread sticks, coffee. Bed is €10, dinner is €14 and breakfast is €5.

Such a pretty place and good stay

Had a great time here— very pretty place- no bed bugs. Good meal. Fun hosts. Beautiful area outside to relax. Great bar across the street with wifi. Very good value!!! Recommend it to all.

A good place to rest

I recommend staying here. I stayed in a private room October 12, 2024. The bed was very comfortable and I had a good rest. Quiet. The fan and light come on in bathroom when you enter. Amazing old stone house. When I stayed there was no cell reception nir Wifi (not just here, but whole village).

Lovely albergue

Very clean albergue. High quality vegetarian shared meal. Limited space to dry clothes.

A very nice village, phony host

Miriam was a resentful host
Eager for money and pretending to be nice
Frugal dinner
Disappointing

Bed bugs :(

An absolutely beautiful albergue with fabulous garden with fountain, hammocks, delicious vegetarian meals and kind and friendly staff.

I unfortunately woke up in the morning with bites in clusters and lines all over my feet. They use disposable sheets, so the communal dorm may just need to be fumigated.

29. June 2024 - 7:15

Adequate

No breakfast, simple dinner of pesto pasta, pumpkin soup and cheesecake.

I found a single engorged bedbug when I inspected my bunk on arrival. I let Miriam know and I changed beds to the other side of the room. The original bunk was "reserved" for the rest of the night. Miriam was very apologetic and explained that the recent hot weather and influx of pilgrims makes it unavoidable. She will do a thorough clean today. No bites on me this morning so hopefully I have escaped "unscathed."

A wonderful shared meal

Great albergue, clean friendly and helpful volunteers. Offers some private rooms. We were served a restaurant quality evening meal. The best risotto I've ever had presented beautifully.

Cozy!

We got a private room with 2 beds for €30. It was lovely and warm with a great view and good blankets. The volunteers running the place were friendly and speak good English. The only downside was that the bathroom was downstairs from all the rooms, but they were clean and had lots of hooks.

To be recommended. October 2023

Very nice Hostal. Hostess speaks English. Lovely vegan pilgrim menu

Clean, comfortable and so welcoming

I had the best stay at Miriam’s albergue. The room was clean, comfortable and light. There were private rooms available, but I stayed in the shared-dorm. No fixed price, but definitely worth 10 or 15€. The vegetarian dinner (also donation based, 10€ normal) was delicious and fresh. The mood was really welcoming and Miriam was a super kind host. There is hand washing and a line available for free, or 5€ for a clothes wash. Would absolutely recommend - really loved the hammocks and library too

Year 2023 things

System is chanched. Donativo - based, you should pay imidiately what you choose how much.
Vegan lunch, no brekfest.
Very little drying space for you clothes.
No chance to make your own food, no fridge to use.
Beautiful, but simple.

Albergue that cares about pilgrims

Stayed 17.10.22
This albergue has a heart. The communal meal was delicious and is a lovely way to meet fellow pilgrims. Surroundings were conducive to relaxing before the climb next day. A pilgrim played the guitar there after supper and we sang along too. Decent breakfast. Highly recommend staying here.
