This has to be the best kept secret on the Camino. I have done multiple Camino’s and this place is by far the best value of any hostel I’ve ever stayed in. For €28 you get your own room, your own private bathroom and a double bed. There's a full kitchen for you to use and a sitting area with a big flatscreen TV but nobody uses that because every room has a TV. There is no established check-in time, but I got here at 11:15 and she checked me in with a smile and could not have been nicer. Oh, the place is spotlessly clean! Great hostal!

An ensuite twin room costs €32, which is good value compared to €15 for a bunk bed. There are small local supermarkets nearby for basic supplies, and the property is located directly on the Camino route, making it very convenient for pilgrims.

My son and I needed a rest day before we got as far as Leon and were so blessed when we chose Hostal Alba. The owners were so kind and welcoming and provided us with the perfect place to take a day off. We attended the wonderful pilgrims mass in town (highly recommend!) and got caught up on laundry and sleep. We felt safe and comfortable and welcome - and for less money for 2 nights than elsewhere on the trail for 1 night. Highly recommend this wonderful spot!

The room was beautifully furnished, the mattresses were comfortable, and the bathroom even had a bathtub. The owners were very helpful and even washed and dried our clothes for free. Thank you!!

Enjoyed a night here and was extremely pleased. Great service, great location and absolutely fantastic value for money for the room that we stayed in.

My daughter and I stayed here last night and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. The gentleman owner received us. So kind and polite, guided us to a super cozy, clean bedroom with a great bathroom with a bathtub!! Super friendly staff, right in the heart of town. You can’t beat this price.

If you are looking for a private room for a reasonable price, you MUST stay here. It’s perfectly placed for intentional rest about halfway through the Camino. For 2 people, we paid 15€ each for a spacious private room that had a terrace, 2 single beds, and a private bathroom. Laundry included if you pay in cash. Their common eating areas are amazing and they had a very well stocked kitchen. We ended up deciding to stay here for an extra night and their hospitality was unbelievable. Lucio and Rucio (spouses) put their heart and soul into this place and it is evident.

Great value for money.

If you want to meet people who really see their life as a calling come here.

My wife and I are traveling with our four children.  Everybody’s doing OK but we were feeling the miles and getting to the point we just needed a break.

 This place was perfect and the owners were just terrific.  She even did our laundry,  folded and everything!

 They gave us a break on checkout time, oriented us to the kitchen.

 The space is simple and clean. And you really feel the spiritual value of a family that’s been caring for pilgrims for decades totally recommend.

This is the best Albergue we have stayed at on the Camino.

The couple that run the place are kind and sweet and although we arrived early, and because it was so cold, they let us in early. Turns out this Albergue was fantastic. There was a lounge room and a full kitchen with free laundry. Additionally, they had a large, separate dining room. The heaters were great, almost too good. Highly recommend a private room here. Our best stay so far and reasonable to boot.

Based on reviews of the different lodging in Carrion de Los Condes, I chose Hostal Albe. For 28 euros I got a private room with private bath very near the center of town, and the sweet lady running the place does all your laundry for free! It had a fully stocked kitchen and large area with several tables to eat at as well as a living room area with sofas and a TV I think. I don’t believe this place is on booking. I made a reservation by email.

2 people in a private room with a bathroom and tub. Amazing! Very clean with a large common area and kitchen we could cook in. There was even a washing machine for free! My favorite place of the Camino so far.

My stay at this place was really comfortable, I had a double room with small well equipped kitchen and private bathroom with a bath. Supermarket round the corner was well equipped too. My bag was left at my previous accommodation through no fault of my own in Saugun and the very kind young man at reception went and picked it up for me and despite me offering to pay would not be paid. True Camino hosts well recommend, will stay there again.
