16EU for a night. From reading other comments, I believe you have to pay for AC and maybe pay for wifi too. WiFi is only available in bar downstairs. They do provide soap for showers however

I find this place to be very nice.
And the owner to be quite ok.
Nor rude or anything as described in other reviews. But helpfull and proff.
The dinner was really fine

A very clean and comfortable Albergue with care put into the decor . Slept in a room of five bunks and the mattresses and pillows were excellent quality and the fresh blankets were really appreciated. The hosts were helpful and friendly, the dinner for 12€ was very good with nice choices . I would definitely stay again and also recommend the Albergue.

This town is a nice stopover if you are walking to Burgos and want to have a short and pleasant (river route) walk the next day. My wife and I, with another couple each, stayed in a private room with a private bathroom. Very clean, very comfortable, and the wall A/C unit provided the much-needed heat at night. The dinner was delicious and plenty. The breakfast was sufficient. The bar food and drinks were fine. The negative remarks about the host, I believe, depend on your perspective. Yes, she may not smile much, may have rigid rules, and may come across as not caring. But she also runs a great operation to keep that place in its superb condition, providing very comfortable, clean accommodations and delicious food. If you notice, she runs the show pretty much by herself, day after day. She serves the drinks and the food to not only the pilgrims but also to the town residents. It is a main joint for the locals. She checks in the pilgrims, gets their dinner and breakfast orders, takes them to their rooms. Sets the dinner table, helps with the food, serves the dinner, cleans after the dinner. In the morning, she prepares and serves breakfast, and then starts cleaning the rooms with another help before the bar and albergue opens again. And if you ever run a hospitality business before, then you know there is more to it. Personally, I was able to communicate with her with very limited Spanish and Google Translate. If you wait patiently for your turn when she is busy with the others, and say “hola” with a smile, try to order with broken Spanish and say “por favor” and “gracias”, you may even get a “de nada” with a quick smile. I did. It’s not all about us. Buen camino.

The albergue was clean with comfortable bunks in the dorms, plug sockets for each bed. Good bathroom facilities too.
No washing machine available, was directed to wash in the bathroom washbasin and a washing line back. There was no drying rack to finish drying (was cold and wet da) so we hung washing in bunk rails.
The village is on an alternative route and few pilgrims passed by, there were only three of us staying here. Quite sad really for the town as there were 4 albergues there.
The host seemed quite stressed at times, at the end of our evening meal we asked about breakfast, she responded that she was not doing breakfast in the morning. We had a two hour walk before we found anywhere serving breakfast

€34 for a private room with a double bed , private shower and loo, even aircon and a Tv plus a wee balcony! Clean , fresh smelling sheets. Spotlessly clean. Bliss
Pilgrims Dinner €12 - only a couple of choices for each course but large and delicious. Plus a spotless bar and outdoor area to relax in.
Yes. The owner is abit prickly and doesn’t speak English. It’s not hard to learn a few words of greeting and thanks and Google translate will do the rest. The demands of some Peregrinos are just downright rude. Remember why you are walking ☺️

My husband and I stayed here. Was a horrible experience. Very very rude staff. Would not give us two towels, asked if we had paid for two when I replied yes she still wouldn’t give us an extra towel. I slipped over outside the next morning and attempted to wipe my clean clothes down from the mud, our bag was packed and LOCKED and ready for transport. Afterwards I tried to tell the lady that there was a dirty towel in the shower basin. She kept shutting me down so we just left. When we arrived in Burgos and unpacked our bags the lady had opened our locked bag and put the dirty towel in our bag. What the heck. Such an invasion of privacy and illegal. DON’T STAY HERE

The staff were quite unfriendly and unhelpful - I would keep walking next time.

This is a modern and very comfortable albergue in a peaceful rural village. The rooms are very clean and comfortable.
The pilgrims menu costs €12 for three courses of home cooked food and lots of wine. There are 4 or 5 courses of starters and main courses.
The bar, serving good food and drinks, is open most of the day, with some great outside space for good weather.
Thoroughly recommend.

This albergue was very nice. The group room had 3 single beds and one bunkbed. It also had its own bathroom with shower and cubies for packs and gear. Each bed had some soap and shower gel on the pillow.
The dinner had a couple options to chose from and wasn't to bad.

Private room was nice enough for the price. Host was not super friendly to anybody. They seemed annoyed nobody pre-bought breakfast so they didn’t even open the bar at 7am like they said they were going to. We all thought we could get coffee and a pastry before heading out. When asked about it in the morning, host once again seemed annoyed and blew us off. Worst part was getting food poisoning from the chicken at dinner. Stomach was absolutely wrecked in the morning and all the next day. I’m sure some people have a great experience here, just not us.

Loved the space! There was a green space out front to enjoy. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The shower/restroom was clean and tidy. Good pilgrim’s dinner with plenty to eat. What a treat!

We skipped over staying in Ages or Atapuerca to get that hill over with and be a little closer to Burgos in the morning and we didn’t regret the choice at all. The private room for “parejas” on the Santa Fe Hostel website is the most clean, peaceful, enjoyable place we’ve been in so far. From what we saw of our options at the other albergue in town and those up the hill, this place is the best. The woman who took care of us was very helpful throughout our stay especially considering she seemed to be taking care of a bunch of pilgrims and every local in town at the same time, cooking, serving drinks, and taking care of the albergue side. As someone else mentioned, I don’t know if the entire menu posted on the wall was available, but that said, our pilgrims menu for 13 euro was fantastic. A real salad and no French for was a nice change.

The albergue looks nice and I think we would have liked staying there - but the hostess refused to let us have two bunk beds - she said they were out, but I could have reserved them online still. She then tried to over charge us (according to the website) for the shared bed only room, although she was very upset we wouldn't take a private room. Then, despite a wonderful looking pilgrims menu on the wall, we were told we couldn't have that - only soup, chicken or fish, and it would be 15€. When we tried to order a la carte - even pointing at the very large (and good looking) a la carte menu, we were again told no, only the pilgrims meal, and only soup, chicken or fish. We went up the hill to the other albergue at that point.

Well run albergue. Nice touch to have real sheets & packets of shampoo & shower gel waiting for you on the pillow. They put a lot of effort into making a lovely dinner for us. Nice pillows too!
Makes the walk into Burgo not quite as long.

This alberque is my favorite of all. It is absolutely beautiful and well run. Meals are exceptional . Most accommodating, very comfortable and clean. If you miss this one you have missed out big time!

I just paid 8€ for a bed in the dorm upstairs - with an extra 2€ for heat. It's nice, clean, convenient, and they will wash and dry clothes for 8€. Restaurant's on the ground floor. Food was uneventful.
