This hostel with restaurant and bar is run by a friendly couple and is located in a quiet area. I felt very comfortable here. The dormitory, shower and toilet are all very clean and well-maintained. There is a large garden for relaxing with a swimming pool. Dinner was delicious and reasonably priced, and you can have breakfast in the bar from 8am onwards. Laundry was washed for a small fee. Important to know is that there is siesta time here from 4pm to 7pm! The operator takes this very seriously. So arrive in time, check in and relax.

I stayed the night and found the place really nice. Restaurant option for dinner and while they opened a bit late for breakfast they offered coffee capsules to make yourself in the morning.
The garden is amazing.
Just be aware that you can’t check in when they have afternoon break from 16-19.

Feel like I stepped into a parallel universe from some of the reviews below. Based on the reviews I reserved, when I arrived at 4:30 and knocked on the front door, it was locked and no response. Walked around the back, pilgrims were waiting, they had been told it didn’t open until 7 PM. Bizarre given the owner could’ve sold a lot of snacks and beverages to this waiting group, began to suspect he doesn’t like pilgrims or money. At 7, he opened the door and immediately berated me harshly for having banged on his door earlier. He knew it was me, which means he heard, saw, and ignored. Pretty much the opposite my experience over five Caminos and 100+ albergues, never encountered anything like this. I suppressed my urge to argue that knocking when you have a reservation is something normal people do and instead apologized. I then tried to ask a question about food, but he insisted – repeatedly and very rudely– that I pay first before he answered any questions. He finally said “do you want to check in or no”. The answer was easy – I walked away with no idea where I would go given the late hour, but it worked out fine. Strongly urge pilgrims to plan their itinerary to avoid this guy – worst hospitalero ever – his talents would be better used working in the Spanish prison system.

What a wonderful experience in an “off schedule” and quaint small village. The hosts are among the most welcoming of my more than 600km on the Norte. Small Taberna/restaurante attached to the albergue. Clothes washed and dried by the hostess for just €6. Albergue was €14 and mid afternoon meal was just less than €10. Highly recommended!

Fabulous host and loved the albergue up in the hills. Had a lovely swim in the pool, looking out to mountains. Food at the bar and sleeping space and bathrooms are well thought out. It was a really peaceful stay.

The albergue is very clean and has 2 microwaves if you need to heat things brought from preceding town! Laundry was done and food / atmosphere was great! Crystal clear pool but in October boot for us! Still looking for a hot tub!

We stayed overnight at this albergue on July 18th. Everything is clean and tidy, the garden and pool are amazing. The restaurant has very good prices and offers breakfast (8am), but in the evening we asked to make sandwiches for us so that we could leave out early in the morning and eat on the way. The owner tried very hard to help with everything. He can't be nice, his nature is different, but he tries very hard 😄

This is a very comfortable alberrgue in a rustic setting. The proprietor was welcoming and the food was good. Recommend.

I stayed here in April. Although in the night it became a little cold, I enjoyed my stay here, especially because of the garden with a really nice view. Small kitchen only with a kettle and a microwave. I didn’t eat in the bar, only had a coffee there the next morning. It’s a simple albergue, but I somehow liked it!

Was walking past and just needed the bathroom—was refused. Nobueno Camino I guess.

Came to this Albergue an hour before opening in the pouring rain. Asked to used the bueno and was turned away. Horrible. That’s not the peregrino spirit. Did I mention it was in the pouring rain? So now we had to go in the field IN THE POURING RAIN. SHAMEFUL.

I was the only one and I don't unverstand that not more people stop over here.
It is nice, clean and the people were very friendly. The dinner was delicious.

Nice, basic, clean place that does not feel too crowded. Also has a good shower (and even a hairdryer). "Kitchen" is basically a microwave and some plates, there are no supermarkets in the area so you could take some supplies from ribadero or eat at the bar attached to the albergue (which has good food for reasonable prices).

Albergue is located in the same building as bar. In the bar you can order lunch, dinner - they have a nice selection of food and drinks. In the albergue you have GOOD shower and a small kitchen area. Every thing is there. Its possible to use washing machiene and dryier.
Price 12eur/person.

The photo shows the old albergue, the newer one is behind and attached to the bar, this is where you check in. Very acceptable albergue and friendly hosts. The bar also serves menu del dia from 7 pm

This Albergue had some bad reviews but I didn’t experience that. I thought the people very friendly and helpful. He spoke good English too. The Albergue was full and somewhat crowded but we had a group of 6 that added to it.
