Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino del Norte app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

Really liked this place, September 2025

The albergue is very cute and the hosts are a lovely couple who make the place feel homely. Great dinner as well, for everyone to share together. Would definitely come back.
However, Germain offers a massage for pilgrims and the cost is 50 euro. In my opinion this is a bit too steep for someone who is not a professional masseur.

Love, love, love this alburgue!

The short, hike up the hill is so worth it to stay at the beautiful, calm and welcoming alburgue. Younger managers working hard and nothing is a problem. Beautiful, communal dinner. Great communal breakfast with seasonal fruit. Keep walking past Aviles and Salinas and arrive here.

Great Donativo

One of the best finds on this Camino. Great hosts, lovely dinner and breakfast and feels like home.

6. May 2025 - 16:27

Wonderful donativo!

This is such a great, welcoming albergue in a cosy and rambling house that feels like home. I loved the communal dinner and breakfast. Maria and Germain are absolutely lovely. One of the best places I've stayed in so far on the Norte.

Information on the app is wrong- call Maria!! This albergue is still open until October 23rd!! Don’t miss it!

13. October 2024 - 20:16

Another amazing find

This is exactly what an albergue should be!!! Super welcome, such lovely staff facilitating a fantastic atmosphere where music was shared and so much laughter over the evening meal. Great food and generosity is everything.
Be careful to take the coastal route from Aviles, don't go via Piedras Blanchas - the road section is horrible.

12. October 2024 - 16:49

Best night of my Camino!

Such a warm welcoming environment with a feeling of family- communal meals and music.. just a space to be yourself and fully relax.

5. October 2024 - 18:17

Echoing positive comments!

María was very welcoming and the 7 pm communal dinner as well as the 7 am breakfast! This albergue closes end of October- and usually opens in March I believe!

Amazing camino experience

Maria is a host who exemplifies the camino spirit of generosity and sharing.
We had a lovely evening meal- a tomato based stew served with rice and with fried eggs. So it's suitable for vegetarian diets but hearty to satisfy the carnivores!
Breakfast too-was great - both served at 7:00.
Maria is truly a wonderful host- highly recommend this as a stop on your Camino there is everything a living room where one can hang out in the afternoon and evening.
I was able to borrow a yoga mat and enjoyed a much needed stretch! Slept great on good mattress

Amazing place to stay!!! Highly recommend!

Me and my friend really enjoyed stay at this albergue that is run by a hospitable lady Maria. She’s so welcoming and helping with everything you need. A clean and atmospheric place near the church, tasty dinner and breakfast together with other pilgrims. Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. If you’re considering saying somewhere near San Martin - I can recommend this place. Enjoy!

10. April 2023 - 14:28

New Owner- AMAZING!!

Had the incredible honour to be the first pilgrim when this donativo Albergue re-opened by an amazingly kind new host- Maria. The place is perfection!! Dorm rooms and double rooms, gorgeous and comfortable common areas, a piano, books, games and art supplies. Washing facilities and good bathrooms. Lovely outdoor area with a stunning view. An older building, but clean and with a homey unique character that makes an impact. Don’t miss this spot!! ❤️❤️

Dinner and breakfast are provided (donativo); if you need shopping do it in Salinas before you arrive- you don’t want to climb that hill twice.

P.S. Check Google review for photos- such. A cute spot!!

Albergue like a home!

October 2021, €10: such a lovely Albergue that feels like a home. José was welcoming and played a great playlist of music from his study.
We were 8 pilgrims for the night and we cooked together in the well equipped kitchen and shared wine (buy food in Salinas before arriving).
Then we played chess and read books together in the sitting room.
José gave me a dorm room to myself despite there being others I could have shared with, so I had a good sleep.
Breakfast was laid out for the morning.
Lovely view from the Albergue and a peaceful garden for good weather.
It was lovely that it was next to the church as well!
