Camino del Norte app

Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino del Norte app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

Very long checking !

Lot of people at 1pm . We wait 1 hour for checking.

Appreciated but dumb rules

Clean and economical. But rules set by a government bureaucrat who has never walked the Camino. Beds are assigned. Kitchen does not open till 1 PM – so no preparing your own coffee. Which also means there’s zero common space to repack your backpack so you don’t wake up your bunk mates. And the Wi-Fi has ridiculous layers of security, five steps to then discover that it only works for Spanish phones, why in the name of Santiago don’t they say up front. suspect a pilgrim stole this bureaucrat’s girlfriend, and he is exacting revenge on all of us

Ignore the older comments

Ok albergue, costs 10 euros now. The showers are regular showers, you have complete privacy, I don't know what the previous comments mean... I did not get a bed assigned to me but it's also low season and I arrived late.
The albergue is in a great location, in the city centre (old town). Lots of restaurants and a big supermarket within 5 minutes walking.
I recommend this albergue! The only thing I found annoying is the door has to be opened by the porter and the kitchen is terrible😅 get a bigger fridge! It's a 1 person fridge you might have as a student...

ok

You get a bed assigned to you which was difficult and unfair as you can’t choose the bottom bunk if you arrive early. They put young people on top bunks.
Showers were totally open - no privacy no curtains, or divider. The toilet is in the same room so there’s a risk that when someone opens the bathroom door that anyone in the hallway could see you showering.

Worst albergue ever used on

Worst albergue ever used on the Camino. 20 bees dormitory , assigned so you can’t choose one if you arrive early.
2 showers per gender, no curtain between them. Only one wc per gender
Unfriendly staff
Only accept the good amount of cash , don’t give back it too much
