This albergue was built to accommodate pilgrims during the construction of the A63, which caused a detour between El Fresno and Las Casas. The construction is over, and although the detour is no longer necessary the albergue remains open.

Quiet municipal albergue off

Quiet municipal albergue off the main Primitivo route by a few km. Has all the necessary basics for €5. Copious hot water for showers, bunks, sheets & blankets. May want to call ahead (many signs w/ phone # after leaving Grado) as not much pilgrim traffic. The hospitalero (who is very kind and let us use his washing machine) recently retired from running the bar/restaurant Ana next door.
