Albergue Casa Roxica

Very lovely place. New. Three private rooms. Albergue with six single beds. The building and the bedrooms have air conditioning that works. Mother and daughter do an excellent service caring for pilgrims.

I’ve tried to stray away from saying this so as the trip is almost coming to a close I think I can award my best Albergue claim to casa roxica (at least since just past Gernika).

This was such a wonderful and quaint stay. The hosts were so nice and dinner was great! This is an excellent spot for a recharge. Do make the stop :)

We splurged on a private room and were very happy with it. Food was a little pricy, but there is a kitchen if you want to bring food from town.

Not fancy, but highly functional – spacious room, single beds, ample facilities. The mother daughter duo who run it are lovely, the communal dinner simple but good, and bucolic surroundings with cute dogs, cats, ducks wandering about are relaxing. The polar opposite of sleek urban life. 

I stayed in the 6-bed shared dormitory, which had two bathrooms and two showers. The atmosphere is peaceful, and everything is clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and I slept well. Elena, the owner, is kind and warm, and really makes you feel welcome. The kitchen is accessible and appears fully equipped, which is great for preparing your own meals. Free coffee and tea are a nice touch. I had empanada, ensalada, chuleta de cerdo, postre y vino as dinner for 14€. The food was decent, though the overall price is slightly on the higher side.

Właścicielka to totalna pomyłka, pomimo rezerwacji dwa dni wcześniej i akceptacji po przyjściu nie mieliśmy miejsc ( dla 4 osób ). Przyjmuje więcej rezerwacji, niż ma miejsc, a potem wybiera kto się jej bardziej podoba 😉 I wtedy okazuje się, że jedynym językiem jaki rozumie - to hiszpanski. Słowa przeprosin nie usłyszeliśmy.

We booked a room for two with a private bath. It's a lovely place to R&R. Our bed was very comfortable. My wife and I were the only two Perigrinos for the evening. We ate the communal meal that was just delicious. The hostess was very kind and made sure we were comfortable. Laundry was 4€.

A simple but very, very nice albergue. The communal dinner was for me a highlight of this camino. Highly recommend this place.

The host is wonderful and the rooms and house is very nice, cosy.

Local municipal albergue is closed so best to call ahead to reserve. Was full by 2pm.

A very good and friendly place serving good food. Would definitely stay there again.

A Roxica is a nice midpoint between Baamonde and Sobrado dos Monxes. This albergue is small and intimate. The owner offers food items, a communal meal (10€), and a breakfast (toast, an egg, coffee) for approx. 3€. The albergue is the only thing in the area, but the table/chairs on the deck make for a relaxing time. Highly recommended.
