Wonderful Albergue!!!

This albergue is very clean and comfortable. It has a nice kitchen, and clean showers and . The bunkbeds are great because you can sit on your bottom bunk without having to bend over. There is a light and a charging port at each bunk. Señor Jose takes great care of his Albergue. Señor Jose sat with us and answered questions and made recommendations for future albergues and places to see along the way. I highly recommend this Alberge !

Special albergue

Manuel runs an immaculate albergue, with many special attention to detail features, that make this a stand out stay.
He is a very sweet guy, and works hard to create a high standard.
I regret not opting for his breakfast, because the individual small loaf of bread, baked early that morning, looked delicious.

Amazing!!

Such a sweet host and a lovely, clean hostel/alburgue. Don’t listen to the haters, just be polite and you’ll have an amazing stay

Very rude

This was absolutely the worst experience during my 30 days on camino. Very rude owner. Strange rules.

Excellent choice

Senor Oso was worth the stay. The owner runs a tight ship, yes, but it means the place is clean and organized. He has thought of everything the pilgrim needs from high beds thatyto u don't whack ypur head on, lights, lockers, plugs, even shoe horns to slide your fat sock feet into your nasty shoes. Worth putting up with the rules.

Excellent albergue

Despite what a couple of people said, I found the hosts to be friendly and helpful.
I've stayed here twice and would be happy to stay again
Single, comfortable beds.
Convenient location.
Great restaurant nearby.

Disrespectful, arrogant and unprofessional host

Absolutely awful human being. Never in my entire life have I ever been treated with such disrespect. After I paid him he became even nastier. For Pete’s sake - What the heck did I do to be treated that way? I thought maybe it was a YouTube spoof or something, but no. I walked out without even asking for my money back. Didn’t want to spend even another minute talking with that cockroach. Yuck.

Unhelpful and controlling host

Like others my only negative comments of the Camino. The place is extremely clean but unwelcoming, you are made to feel 2nd class. Not in the spirit and as a group at the end of the Camino, this was our lowest scoring place to stay. We felt like small children that were not wanted around.

Very Clean and Organised

A wonderful Albergue. Host is very organised. Even leaving cushions and shoe horns on the stairs so pilgrims are comfortable putting on shoes. A special post card on departure.

10. April 2025 - 21:13

Word of Caution

Host is very controlling to the smallest detail. Runs an extremely tight ship and a number of "instructions" directed to us made us rather uncomfortable - somewhat like being back as a youth in boarding school. On a positive note, the albergue is extremely clean, and there is an excellent breakfast available at reasonable price..
PS: I have completed 5 caminos and this my first negative experience.

Clean and very very friendly service with a smile

Highly recommend this place. José the owner is very very nice and ever so helpful.. the albergue was very clean and it’s right on the Camino and so close to everything. 5 stars

Superb!

Love this place and keeping it on my list of places to come back. Spotless. The host is thoughtful and has everything you need. Every bed has its own outlet and nightlight. The rooms get lots of daylight. Just lovely. You will love staying here.

22. April 2024 - 20:32

Yes really great

Our host, Jose, was so kind and thoughtful. The albergue is spotlessly clean and very good facilities. Jose makes a sumptuous soup plus his homemade bread is a real treat. In the morning, our shoes were put out for us, together with a mat to sit on and a shoe horn. It is so very central. Highly recommend it.

16. April 2024 - 7:02

Wonderful

I had a really, really nice stay! Cleanast place on the camino!

15. April 2024 - 21:40

Well okay

The location is wonderful and good beds and so on, but the person managing it has a somewhat controlling demeanor that dampens the overall atmosphere.

30. October 2023 - 17:06

Good deal, well-run

Centrally-located, a clean, well-run albergue. Small rooms make a difference, even though beds are standard bunks; still, lots of room and great lockers. Close to good restaurants and supermercado. Attentive host whose laundry “rules” were not a problem at all—he treated us well!

8. July 2023 - 19:51

Amazing place

Jose is an incredible host and this is so clean and very accommodating to pilgrims. Close to River for a nice swim. Jose has gone above and beyond to help with my injury. He organized a fantastic massage and loves to share the sights of this beautiful town. My fav stop on Camino. Take a couple of days to rest and enjoy and recover.

1. July 2023 - 20:29

No problems with host, laundry isn’t good

It’s hard to use the laundry machine. You need the hospitalero to turn on the machine but he is hard to find. If you hand wash, you only have one sink in the bathroom. Also, there is hardly anywhere to dry your clothes. As a woman, the host does not seem creepy or controlling.

19. May 2023 - 21:47

Lovely host, great albergue

Hose the host is very nice. I am a solo woman on the way and came very worried 20 min after check in was finished. Host had called me earlier to check if I am ok then waited for me to arrive and had a kind word to calm me. He was very kind and hospitable, took my bag for me while climbing the stairs. As a solo women I felt totaly safe and no inapropriare behavior.
