Casa Rural de Sol a Sol

Evy and Melina purchased the albergue early September. They are getting a crash course running an albergue and are fast learners. Evy’s profession is gourmet chef and the pilgrim dinner was one of the best meals I have ever had in Europe!! They have a beer garden and all of the rooms are private. I rarely write reviews but these two (and the albergue as well) totally impressed me. They only took cash for payment but there is an ATM across the street in the minimart. I would guess they will take credit when they re-open next spring.

Great host but an irritating surprise that it was cash only. There is a “pilgrim portrait photographer” that does great work. If you engage him, see if you can do 50% down and 50% on picture selection (we weren’t thrilled with our results).

The hosts are amazing and we had a great lunch here; my husband had roast chicken with rice and veggies, and I had a “chicken stroganoff” (chunks of chicken in a sauce similar to a vodka sauce) with rice and shoestring potatoes. Delicious and not the usual pilgrim menu. Our room is also lovely and well supplied, and there is a courtyard out back plus a cozy lobby lounge area with a wood-burning stove. All is lovely but be ready: cash payment only.

We stopped at the Albergue for lunch and realized we had difficulties with our plan going forward that day. Our host detected our concern and offered help above and beyond what would be expected. A delightful couple, Samuel and Rebecca went far out of their way to help this group of pilgrims. Highly recommend stopping and meeting them, or staying at their Albergur

This is a wonderful Pensión with a fabulous host!! He recommended both a great lunch place and dinner!! Please take his recommendations…. They are terrific!!!! Great room, super clean and very reasonable!!!!

The price is now €60 for private double with bathroom

Casa sol a sol was a very pleasant experience. I’m resting from a sprained ankle and Samuel was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was well served and abundant. I highly recommend this albergue.

We had a very nice stay here. Lovely owner. Room was comfortable and clean. Great WiFi and backyard. We ate dinner at the end of town at Origin. Fun spot for drinks and dinner. They had live opera and jazz !! It was amazing.

The casa rural was clean and comfortable, host very accommodating.
But the food at the bar in town was horrible! Literally could not finish the completely boring food for the flies- they were everywhere, on everything- disgusting! And we were told it was the only place serving food. The local market had simple camino needs but no real food. It was a dilemma

This is a good deal at a legit Casa Rural! They are related to Emilio Estavez. It is clean and cute with breakfast included. A respite from albergues and municipales! Great place!

It might be a legitimate casa rural but they need to cleanup their site. Don’t touch it on line. Phone them if you can.
