Hornillos Meeting Point

All hotels including the municipal one cost €15 base, the meeting point offers a swimming pool with water at 20 degrees that is very pleasant. €5 for breakfast. €15 for communal dinner.

Unfortunately very grubby, they need new and better cleaners. The sheets on the beds are never changed... yuk.

Very clean and well kept, the showers are good and there is a nice space to relax.

The cook was not working on Monday and so no meal was offered. Too many people requested the breakfast too and this was cancelled. However, walking to Hontanas for breakfast is advisable

€38 for a private room (for use by 1 person) with bathroom is a bargain! Room and bathroom are very clean and functional with nice touches including fly screen in window, each of the 2 beds has a bedside lamp as well as power point (better than USB port for those who are concerned about phone security) and phone holder, wardrobe for 2 persons. Comfortable bedsheets and blanket. There were not enough staff to prepare a vegetarian dinner for me on the night of my stay but they offered a reheated frozen homemade veg paella for me, which was good enough.

What a fantastic, clean modern place to stay. Best spent 15 euros on my Camino so far. The owner, Omar went out of his way to communicate with me on WhatsApp. Needless to say was full the night I stayed

This is very much open again for the season. Hospitaleros helped me out tremendously in locating a bag that didn’t get transported from Burgos. Everything is very clean, they have a nice garden area outside, large clothes drying line and laundry area, a kitchen, beers and drinks for purchase - everything a pilgrim would need.

We stayed here mid October. The dinner of paella was amazing and abundant. We enjoyed the courtyard and company. The picture here does not do this Alberque justice.

Second stay at this Albergue.
Friendly reception. Accommodations were comfortable and clean. Close to the small Mercado and the town’s Centro.
Nice garden for lounging.
Meal was excellent. Chicken paella that was LOADED with chicken. And you could ask for seconds of everything!

Very friendly front desk and helpful throughout stay. Beds were comfortable, bunk beds but bolted to wall so not as noisy. Had a wonderful paella for dinner. I probably would skip the breakfast next time.

I had a positive experience at this albergue. The yard was lovely for relaxing and the pilgrim dinner with paella was fantastic!

Great alburgue. We had private room #4 two single beds, two windows shared bathroom.
The place is updated and modern.
Large shared fridge and the pilgrim €13 dinner of salad mixta, chicken paella, and custard with red wine was delicious. Good portions and you can have more if required. We stayed late in the morning n room #4 is a little away from the noise from the dorms. I recommend this place. Cold drinks were €1.50

Which was really just a room w a bunk bed and bathroom for 40€. I think the albergue would have been fine. Lovely pilgrim dinner. I’m a fan’

This was clean, friendly staff and well organized. Metal bunk beds but pretty solid with individual plugs and lights. The courtyard area was lovely to sit out in after doing laundry or whatever. The wifi did cut out at times. There was no fridge and limited cookware in the kitchen. The little convenience store down the road was well-stocked and the owner delightfully

Had a private with twin beds, fresh cotton sheets and good mattresses, bright room, 2 windows, beautiful garden, birds singing in the morning. Nice to have women’s only shower and WC. Kind and friendly English speaking man at the front desk. Overall one of my top stays so far.

Just finished a lovely shared paella meal. Very clean albergue with very helpful staff. Great location on the route through the village and certainly worth a stay.

As I am writing this, our paella dinner is been cooked, it smells so good, I am hungry!

Shared rooms are spaces, bathrooms are clean. Host is very friendly.

I stayed here last night, the place is clean, well run, has a lovely outdoor area & a pool. Dinner was fabulous. The only issue I have is I booked a private room so I didn’t have to worry if people left early. Well the walls are paper thin I heard every toilet flush & water running & it’s a bunk bed in the private room just as well it was only me & not someone who couldn’t use the top bunk. A lot of people left early & made a lot off noise in the common room it was useless trying to sleep. I would suggest informing people to be quiet in the early morning as not everyone wants to leave at 5 or 6 am.

This was a nice place to stay. The community Paella dinner was awesome. A little market near by to get some supplies for the road. Nice outdoor garden to hang out. A place to do wash and hang clothes. A good size fridge to put your needed items.
