They're not as relaxed about cancellations / change of plans as other places. We gave plenty of notice (3 days) thinking this would open up places for other pilgrims, especially on a Sunday during holy week as the other albergue is closed. Instead they got upset at us, which is a bit off-putting. Just something to be aware of when making advanced bookings here.

The host was rude. We were ignored when we arrive and tried to register for the room we reserved. The pilgrim menu was limited and then there were foods not available. People arrived at the restaurant and he was rude to them and turned them away because they did not have reservations. The room was very cold. It was 50 degrees outside and the heat was not turned onWe had no hot water to shower. The internet kept going off. It has been my least favorite stop.

Very clean and friendly. Separate washrooms for men and women. The veg pilgrims meal was good, but the rice pudding was fantastic!
