Hotel Astur Plaza ★★★

I took two nights here to give myself a break before the last push into Santiago. Great hotel for that and great town to explore. My room had a bathtub, which might be the greatest luxury of my Camino, along with a real bath towel. Breakfast was great but go early because they don’t seem to replenish.

The plaza is in a wonderful location. A great “outdoor” shop (Huracán) that sells backpacks and lots of pilgrim gear in the plaza.

It's exactly what you think it is. If you're looking for a nice break from the albergue scene, this is a good place to do so.

We splurged after a few days of walking. The front desk staff are wonderful. It was so nice to have a big bath towel! The church chimed every hour, but the windows kept the room very quiet.

Hotel a little hard to find as not clearly marked. But locals most helpful. Front desk very helpful. Let me in as soon as o arrived around 1:15. Was surprised. Room great.

Front desk and restaurant staff were most unhelpful. Got the sense it did not matter whether our rooms were ready or not, we weren't getting in until 3pm. Breakfast was cold too. But rooms were spacious and comfortable.
